Agents and landlords are invited to a free day-long event aimed at providing information around the private rental sector and updates on the Renters Rights Bill.

The annual Countywide Landlord Forum is being organised by Northumberland county council and will be held at Blyth Town Football Club on Thursday October 10 between 10am and 4.30pm.

Anyone wishing to attend should register to reserve a place at: nland.uk/landlords. Attendees can stay for the duration of the day or attend the talks of particular interest.

There will be presentations on a range of different topics including energy, selective licensing, mortgages, updates from the National Residential Landlords Association and Landlord Action. In addition, there will be some helpful information on buildings insurance and sustainable ventilation products to keep your properties at a decent standard.

There will be trade stands to browse, networking opportunities, free parking and free buffet lunch with refreshments.

A council spokesperson says: “If you rent out a property, then please try and come along. The day will be a great opportunity for you to get up to date, impartial and professional advice.  There will be a series of talks throughout the day full of advice, knowledge and relevant legislation to help you to be the best landlord you can be.”
