Deposit protection scheme takes centre stage at charity Sleep-Out

mydeposits, a government approved tenancy deposit protection provider, is sponsoring and taking part in Centrepoint’s Sleep Out 2024.

This is aimed at raising awareness of youth homelessness and funds to help 16 to 25-year-olds without a place to call home.

A team from mydeposits will join participants on November 14 at the Oval cricket ground, London, where they will sleep outside for the night to experience some of the hardships that homeless individuals face daily.

Sleep Out, organised by the charity Centrepoint, is designed to draw attention to the rising issue of homelessness among young people.

It claims almost 136,000 young people faced homelessness last year – a record high. A

Eddie Hooker, chief executive of mydeposits, commented:
“Our participation in Sleep Out 2024 … is a reflection of mydeposits’ commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. We are proud to align our values with Centrepoint’s mission to end youth homelessness, and this event is just the beginning of our exciting charity partnership with them.”

The company’s involvement in this event is part of its ongoing efforts to make a difference through CSR initiatives and its charity partnership with Centrepoint, including the tenant donation scheme, through which mydeposit customers have now donated over £66,000to Centrepoint since its inception.
