Leaders – the agency brand that is part of Leaders Romans Group – has launched its newly refurbished sustainable branch in Maidenhead, emphasise what it calls “eco-friendly practices and sustainable business operations.”

The Maidenhead office has undergone a refurbishment in line with LRG’s sustainable fit-out guidelines and is now powered by 100% green energy, fully supplied by renewable electricity sources, aligning with LRG’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

Fixtures and fittings have been selected to be as environmentally friendly as possible, including using 100% FSC-certified wood for all doors, skirtings, partitions, and countertops to ensure responsible sourcing.

To further reduce environmental impact, the refurbishment utilised recycled or reused furniture: where possible, furniture has been sourced from recycled materials, and at the end of its life, it will be either recycled or upcycled.

The office is also fitted with a carpet made from 65% post-industrial recycled content, with a commitment from the supplier to repurpose and recycle it once it reaches the end of its life. This forms part of Romans’ ongoing effort to reduce waste and promote sustainability throughout the branch.

All internal and external lighting has been upgraded to low-energy LED technology, significantly reducing energy consumption and extending the lifespan of light fittings compared to traditional options. The refurbishment also features the use of low-VOC paints, releasing fewer gases and reducing indoor air pollution, contributing to a healthier working environment.

David Wilson, group chief operating officers of Leaders Romans Group, says: “The refurbishment of our Maidenhead branch to include sustainable features is an important step towards reducing our environmental impact and leading by example in the property sector. By embracing renewable energy, low-impact materials, and energy-efficient solutions, we’re not only supporting our community today but investing in a greener future for generations to come.”
