Estate agency Douglas Allen is launching a campaign supporting schools in East London and Essex with £10,000 for sports equipment.

As part of the Get Moving Campaign, local schools can apply for up to £1,000 to purchase equipment. These grants are designed to enhance physical education programs and provide students with more opportunities to engage in sports.

For every valuation the agency attends it will give £25 to the campaign.

Schools interested in applying for the grant can find more information here.

Douglas Allen has for some years partnered with charities, including Barnardo’s, Haven House, St Francis Hospice, and The Children’s Trust. It has raised over £750,000 with Arun Estates for these worthy causes.

In 2023 Arun Estates, and its network – Cubitt & West, Douglas Allen, Pittis and Wards – donated over £750,000 in food support to those in need.

Meanwhile another Arun brand – Pittis, the long-standing agency in the Isle of Wight – has launched a Christmas Challenge to collect 250 gifts for children. That’s one gift for every year Pittis has been operating.

All Pittis branches on the IoW have a Giving Tree at which people can drop off a special gift for a child.

This toy drive aims to bring a little extra magic to children and families this season, with all donated presents set to be delivered to Kissy Puppy on December 19.

Together, they hope to make this Christmas memorable for every child supported by the Sophie Rolf Trust, which works with young people suffering from life-shortening conditions.
