Lomond has acquired its second Kent-based lettings agency – Oakwood Homes.

Founded by the husband-and-wife team of Andrew and Teresa Dickinson, it currently manages some 900 properties.

Lomond has now acquired two of what it calls “the leading businesses” in Kent.

Oakwood managing director Andrew Dickinson says: “Teresa and I are extremely proud of what we’ve achieved at Oakwood Homes over the last 20 years, but we feel the time has come to embark on a new chapter in our lives.

“Although we’ve had a number of approaches, we believed it was essential to ensure that any transition made would be in the best interests of both our dedicated team and loyal clients.

“After very careful consideration we believe that Lomond is the ideal fit in this respect, aligning strongly with the core values that Oakwood Homes has operated by from day one.

“Our exceptional team deserves the opportunity to grow, and with Lomond’s support, we look forward to seeing them thrive in the future.”

And Lomond chief executive Ed Phillips adds: “We believe that with Oakwood Homes joining the group we have acquired two of the very best estate agency businesses Kent has to offer.

“This milestone consolidates our extremely strong start with respect to our expansion across the Kent area and we’re eager to welcome the Oakwood team into Lomond and further deliver on our growth ambitions within the county over the coming months.”
