Renters Right Bill webinar on day of key Lords debate

David Smith – arguably Britain’s best known property lawyer – will be answering agents’ questions on the Renters Rights Bill on Friday.

Smith is Head of Dispute Resolution (London) at JMW Solicitors, and he’ll be speaking with Oli Sherlock, Managing Director of Insurance at Goodlord, at the webinar at 9.30 am on Friday February 14.

Topics they will cover include rent in advance payments, student tenancies, rent reviews and more.

It’s now expected that the Bill will become law around Easter time, although some elements are likely to be phased in.

The Bill – which after amendments is about 250 pages long – is now at the committee stage in the House of Lords.

Agents can submit questions to Smith and Sherlock when they register here.
