The Guild of Property Professionals has launched a video series on the Renters Rights Bill.

The Guild describes these as “an educational tool for members, enabling them to offer clear and professional guidance to landlords navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.”

Guild compliance chief Paul Offley says: “Our members are well-positioned to assist landlords through this transition, and we want to ensure they have the necessary tools to do so effectively.

“This series provides a straightforward, informative breakdown of the key elements of the Renters Rights Bill, making it easier for landlords to understand their responsibilities and take the appropriate steps to remain compliant.”

The six-part series covers:

  • Introduction and Ombudsman – An overview of the Bill and the role of the Ombudsman;
  • Property Standards – Understanding requirements for property conditions;
  • Securing a Tenancy – Key changes in how tenancies are secured;
  • Payment of Rent – Updates on regulations and responsibilities;
  • Tenancy Reform – Insights into tenancy structure and implications;
  • Conclusion – Final thoughts and next steps for landlords.
