The latest acquisition by fast-growing agency group Lomond is in London.

It’s snapped up boutique Battersea agency Hamnett & Ganpot, marking what it calls “the latest phase of its strategic expansion in the capital.” This follows Lomond’s landmark acquisition of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) at the tail end of 2024.

Established 17 years ago by Oliver Hamnett and James Ganpot, Hamnett & Ganpot has concentrated on the Battersea waterside market. The agency has grown organically, driven by its dedication to exceptional client service and impressive customer retention. Initially operating from a branch in Fulham, the firm gradually shifted eastward, focusing on the ever-evolving Battersea property landscape.

This acquisition aligns with what Lomond describes as its long-term growth strategy, targeting high-demand areas experiencing significant regeneration – including the transformative Battersea Power Station development and the influx of newly built residences surrounding it.

Lomond spokesperson John Ennis says: “Our acquisition strategy is exemplified by the complementary nature of these recent deals – pairing the scale and heritage of KFH with the agility and specialist expertise of Hamnett & Ganpot. This acquisition strengthens our foothold in a pivotal London location, and we remain committed to partnering with businesses that align with our values and meet our high operational standards.”

Oliver Hamnett, co-founder of Hamnett & Ganpot, adds: “After 17 years of building a business that prioritises long term client relationships, we are delighted to hand the reins to Lomond, a company that shares our commitment to service excellence.”

Meanwhile James Ganpot comments: “My focus is now shifting towards the developer and construction sector. I look forward to new challenges while remaining in the industry, and I’m confident that our clients are in the best possible hands.”
