Self-employed agency brand hits new milestone

Letting agents on the Channel Island of Jersey are being urged to join an industry association.

The Jersey Estate Agents’ Association says every member must belong to the island’s Property Ombudsman Scheme, which operates much as the redress services do in England, Wales and Scotland. 

Jersey EAA president John Quemard says the body will be writing to non-member agents this week and adds: “Buying a property is one of the biggest investments a person is likely to make and we want the people of Jersey to be protected and reassured.”
