Property investment leader jumps ship to Savills

A self-employed brokerage on the look out for 50 new ‘partners’ has recruited a veteran property industry talent-spotter.

Douglas & Gordon has appointed Catherine Darbon as Head of Talent and Employer Brand.

She joins from Chestertons, where she was Head of Talent Acquisition; she previously spent nearly two decades at Stirling Ackroyd Group.

The appointment of Ackroyd, who has over 28 years of experience in property, follows D&G announcing it wanted to double its size by recruiting 50 new self-employed partners.

Chief executive James Evan’s says: “Catherine’s arrival is a clear signal of our commitment to bringing the very best talent into the business. Her deep experience and strong network speak for themselves, but just as important is the platform we’re building at D&G.

“Our investment in technology, flexible model and performance-led rewards are designed to attract professionals who not only understand the market but know how to drive it.

“That’s how we continue to grow, by backing the people who build the relationships that matter.”
