Build To Rent agency brand secures over 3,000 homes in six months

More than 3,000 single-family rental (SFR) homes are operating under Ascend Living – the white label build-to-rent brand provided by property manager Ascend – just six months after being launched.

Ascend Living was launched by the Ascend agency in February this year to provide investors with a turnkey operational identity, enabling unbranded platforms to benefit from a resident-facing name without the costs associated with creating and establishing a standalone brand.

The ‘off the shelf’ service is, Ascend claims, unique in the institutional property sector, covering all aspects of management such as lettings, renewals, maintenance and resident liaison, including the imminent launch of a dedicated app for residents.

New and existing investor clients of Ascend have chosen to operate homes within their portfolio under the Ascend Living brand, with the expansion of such mandates indicating the success of the approach and asset performance under the identity.

Ascend is the UK’s largest third-party operator of SFR, overseeing around two thirds of the entire asset class, and has more than 11,500 properties overall within its nationwide management portfolio. Its market-leading technology platform and territory manager model make it uniquely able to operate both at scale and across all UK regions, driving greater resident satisfaction and enhanced investor returns.

Lee Hill, commercial director at Ascend, says: “Hitting the milestone of 3,000 homes operating under the Ascend Living brand, just six months after launch, highlights not only the appetite among investors for such a white-label service, but also the success this approach has driven. The growth of Ascend Living has been from both new and existing clients, and the expansion of mandates as the concept has been proven to deliver enhanced investor returns. We look forward to bringing even more homes under the brand in the coming months, as investors seek to benefit from the turnkey operational solution it provides.”
