High end coastal lettings book acquired by holiday rental giant

Travel Chapter, a large letting agency with Holidaycottages.co .uk as its flagship brand, has acquired Beach Retreats, a Cornish self-catering holiday specialist previously owned by Watergate Bay Hotel.

The acquisition is for an undisclosed sum.

Beach retreats had a portfolio of over 230 high-value coastal properties in Cornwall and Devon.

Jayne McClure, chief executive of Travel Chapter, says: “Beach Retreats is a brand we’ve admired for a number of years. Their commitment to curating high-quality properties with a service-first mindset aligns perfectly with our vision at Travel Chapter. We’re proud to welcome the team and look forward to supporting the brand’s continued success as part of our growing portfolio.

“We’re committed to delivering success for Beach Retreats’ existing owners and continuing to deliver special memories for Beach Retreats guests for many years to come.”

Travel Chapter says its strategic ambition is to expand its presence in key coastal destinations while maintaining a focus on quality, service, and strong regional identity.

Meanwhile Ben Harper, chief executive of Watergate Bay Hotel Group, adds: “The brand has always had bold ambitions, and we’ve been careful in choosing the right partner to continue its journey. Travel Chapter’s values and track record give us full confidence in a strong future for the team, the homeowners and the properties they represent.”

Beach Retreats will continue to operate from its base in Cornwall>
