Agent Rainmaker guru Sally Lawson is celebrating 35 years of the agency she founded to start her career in lettings.

Wolverhampton and Liverpool-based Concentric Lettings, which she formed in 1990 and traded as Lawsons until 2017, is celebrating the milestone having survived two recessions, and a transformation in communications and marketing.

Lawson launched what the agency describes as a “transformational tenancy management and client accounting centre” solely focused on resolving issues as they arose and enabling customer-facing staff to focus on building relationships, meetings, and conducting viewings.

The agency has let and managed over 10,000 properties, and has purchased over 450 properties for investors.

Former ARLA President Lawson says: “It was my very first business so I’m incredibly proud of the Concentric brand. Back then the industry loved traditional paper-based processes and marketing – leaflet dropping and newspaper advertising were the norm. But as the world has evolved we’ve actively embraced everything that we can within the digital sphere, from AI and sales funnels, to SEO and social media marketing.

“We also worked furiously to develop systems that would streamline what we did and improve the consistency of our service and output, without losing that all-important face-to-face relationships that we had with our customers. And it was this, combined with harnessing all of the marketing, sales, and operational tools available that has helped us not just survive, but thrive.

“It was an incredible move. Tenants were happier as issues were solved quicker, and our property managers could spend time on the vital parts of the business – like making sure contractors were insured, client account managers could allocate funds and pay on time, and landlords could view their accounts online with ease.”

“Although I don’t work within the business myself now and spend all my time in Agent Rainmaker to train other agency owners to grow their businesses, I’m so proud to be celebrating 35 years alongside our incredible team at Concentric – here’s to the years ahead!”
