Council-run lettings agency wins ‘excellence’ award

Winners of the Kent Housing Group Excellence Awards 2025 – described by organisers as the annual Oscars for the regional housing sector – are being announced next month. 

The 12 categories include several open to private rental sector entrants, including one explicitly for ‘Excellence in private sector housing’. 

The awards are organised by the Kent Housing Group, which says it is the collective voice of the housing sector in Kent and Medway. 

It has representation from all 12 Kent local authorities, 13 housing associations and other bodies including the National Residential Landlords Association and Homes England.

The 12 categories are:

  • Excellence in Asset Management
  • Excellent Associate Professional
  • Excellent Community Project
  • Excellent partnership
  • Excellence in delivering services to vulnerable people
  • Excellence in development and regeneration
  • Innovator of the year
  • Excellent young professional of the year [aged up to 30 years old]
  • Excellent housing professional
  • Team of the year 
  • Excellence in private sector housing 
  • Unsung community hero/neighbour of the year

The awards are presented on September 25.
