John D Wood & Co has announced the passing of a long-standing agent and regional director, Vince Dennington.

Affectionately known to many as “Mr Weybridge” his 15 years with the brand – now owned by Connells – has been marked by managing director Polly Ogden Duffy, who says: “Vince was an experienced and masterful agent, a true gentleman and a mentor to many who sought to learn from him.

“He brought enthusiasm, wit, kindness, fun and energy to my leadership team.  He gave compliments freely, supported his teams wholeheartedly, and made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Vince had a permanent twinkle in his eye and a mischievous grin which could energise any crowd.  The loss to my teams is huge and although he is gone, he will never be forgotten.”

A statement from the firm says: “He was deeply valued by both colleagues and clients who appreciated him for his unwavering dedication to the firm, his extensive knowledge of property across Surrey, as well as his engaging and warm interactions. He was instrumental in the development of the business’s Country House Department and was widely respected for his experience, professionalism and generosity.”

Messages of condolence can be send via [email protected] or c/o John D Wood & Co., 15 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8PS.
