One of Britain’s biggest agency groups with 73,000 rental properties under management is preparing for a sale worth at least £700m, claims Sky News.
LRG – formerly Leaders Romans Group and already owned by the American buyout firm Platinum Equity – is likely to seek buyers later this year.
Platinum acquired LRG – which owns brands including Acorn, Chancellors and Stirling Ackroyd – in early 2022.
The group has some 350 branches and 3,500 staff. It manages 73,000 properties and last year handled property sales worth £3.6 billion.
Sky says: “Bankers at Rothschild have been appointed by Platinum to oversee talks with potential bidders.”
Platinum Equity declined to comment to Sky News about its story.
