The largest student housing developer in the US is coming to the UK.

Landmark Properties has acquired a prime site in central London, NW1 facilitated by Knight Frank. It will deliver a new development of 225 purpose-built student beds and amenity space.

Located in Camden, the site is close to University College London (UCL), Euston Station and Regent’s Park.

This is just one of a number of sites Landmark has identified in prime regional university cities and central London. It currently has a pipeline of more than 3,000 beds.

“Closing our first development deal in the UK represents a huge milestone for Landmark” says Landmark chief executive Wes Rogers. “We’re excited to bring much needed high-quality Purpose Built Student Accommodation to the UK.”

Landmark will be partnering with existing UK student accommodation provider Centurion Corporation.

“Landmark’s debut UK investment is a significant cross-border play by one of the largest US student housing providers. Their entry into London is a significant vote of confidence in the sector’s resilience and long-term growth” says Rupert Strutt, a partner in the Student Property team at Knight Frank.

“There is a great appetite for well-located, high-quality schemes and overseas investors are particularly attracted to UK PBSA as the demand continues to outstrip supply. As we progress through 2025, the sector remains well-positioned for another year of robust investment.”

Landmark has over 72,000 beds under active management across the United States and says it has an ambition to become a leading player in the European purpose-built student accommodation sector.
