Anti-money laundering (AML) specialist FCS Compliance is to stage another free webinar for property professionals.

Ask the experts – everything you need to know about customer due diligence (CDD) takes the form of a live panel where property professionals can put their questions direct to a team of CDD specialists.

The hour-long webinar starts at 10.00 am on Thursday November 27.

While the agenda will be led by the audience, the subjects up for discussion are likely to include differentiating between simplified and enhanced due diligence; verifying complex ownership; and relying on CDD and the pitfalls to look out for.

The aim is to provide property professionals with the confidence to deal with handling CDD issues on a day-to-day basis and the expert panel will comprise:

Stephen Williamson, Lead AML Consultant, FCS Compliance, Property Division – he’s managed fraud and anti-money laundering teams for a range of organisations, from tier 1 banks to electronic money institutions. He has first-hand experience of the London property market, having spent many years both working for and running a property development firm.  He is a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and holds a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering.

Caroline Walters, Director of Quality Standards, FCS Compliance – she was in Thames Valley Police, where she specialised in investigating serious and organised crime, including fraud, theft, and child protection. Since moving into compliance, she has held roles across the UK public and private sectors, as well as offshore in the Channel Islands.  For the past eight years, Caroline has focused on real estate compliance and is a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA).

Jen Siwicki, Senior AML Consultant, FCS Compliance – she has a background in financial crime enforcement, having served with both the National Crime Agency and the Economic Crime Directorate of the City of London Police.  She specialised in the analysis and investigation of complex fraud and international money laundering cases involving both private individuals and businesses.  She is a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and holds a Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) as well as a Certificate in Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
