Independent lettings agency Henry Adams has strengthened its presence along the South Coast with the acquisition of Coastguards Lettings, a single-office business based in prestigious Aldwick, near Bognor Regis.

The purchase was completed at the end of last month with the portfolio now joining the established Henry Adams Lettings operation in Bognor. All staff have been retained.

Coastguards Lettings, owned by Bryan Fry, has served Aldwick for many years. Meanwhile since opening its first office in Chichester in 1991, Henry Adams has grown across West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.

Ian Wiggett, chief executive of Henry Adams, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Coastguards Lettings into the Henry Adams fold. Their long-standing commitment to personal service very much mirrors our own, so it was a natural fit from the outset. We look forward to supporting their landlords and tenants with our wider resources while maintaining the values that have made Coastguards Lettings such a well-respected local name.”

Meanwhile Phil Davis, who managed Coastguards Lettings, adds: “In an increasingly difficult financial climate for private letting, the decision to join a larger local firm became apparent. Ian Wiggett and his team at Henry Adams have been very professional and extremely helpful with the transition, which augurs well for the future.”

Henry Adams says it continues to seek opportunities for further growth and expansion, and urges interesting agencies to contact Wiggett.
