Rightmove is launching new functionality for tenants to collaborate with people they’re moving in with.
Home-movers can now share property lists with friends and family, collaborating on shortlists of agents’ properties, making the process of searching for a home more social and interactive.
Each year Rightmove carries out thousands of hours of testing and gathering feedback from consumers and this feature was one of the most requested.
Lists enable home-movers to shortlist homes which suit their requirements. By sharing lists, home-movers can work together and react to each other’s suggestions. The aim is also to encourage home-movers to be in agreement about properties at the point of booking a viewing.
Available to renters now within My Rightmove, the launch of Shared Lists is part of what the portal calls its “bigger mission to enable seamless collaboration between home-movers on its platform, assisting home-hunters with each stage of the moving process.”
A Rightmove spokesperson says: “With the majority of home-movers looking to live with at least one other person, our new tool is designed to make the process of searching for a home more collaborative and interactive, and make sure home-movers are on the same page before they get in touch with agents.”
