A 20 year old independent has been acquired by LRG.

The Residential Property Group – trading as Osprey Property – serves the East Midlands market towns of Oakham, Stamford, Oundle and Melton Mowbray.

Osprey used to pride itself on being the only independent ‘market-town specialist’ across those towns, with staff made up entirely of local residents, using their shared knowledge of the area and network of offices to showcase properties.

Under LRG ownership the business will continue to operate under the Osprey brand. All staff will remain with the company, including managing director Graham Freeman, who rejoins LRG having previously worked with the Group five years ago.

Matthew Light – group mergers and acquisitions director at LRG – comments: “This is another significant acquisition and another strong step in our strategy to partner with high-quality multi-branch regional agencies. We are delighted to expand our footprint into three new towns within an area where we already have a growing presence.

“This marks our second multi-branch acquisition in just three weeks, following the purchase of the Northern Estate Agencies Group and reflects the strong momentum behind LRG’s expansion plans. We continue to actively work on several strategic opportunities across the property sector and are already building an exciting pipeline for 2026.”
