United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed George Vernon as consultant senior lettings director.

Recognised by Spear’s 500 as a ‘Recommended Property Broker’, Vernon draws on 14 years’ experience in prime sales and lettings across Mayfair, Notting Hill and Holland Park.

The company says he is one of the few qualified chartered surveyors in the industry, with a track record across London’s high profile estates including Grosvenor, Crown, Howard de Walden and Portman. He has held senior roles at Strutt & Parker, Carter Jonas and JLL, where he helped establish its Mayfair office.

Most recently he co-founded OB Private, a boutique estate agency and lifestyle advisory providing white-glove services across real estate, luxury tourism and bespoke member experiences.

Vernon himself says: “I’m thrilled to join the brokerage at such an exciting time of growth. Its client-focused philosophy and commitment to excellence truly resonate with me, and I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”

Vernon joins the firm as it enters Q4, following a previous quarter in which UK Sotheby’s International Realty achieved £417m in sales and £16.3m in lettings transactions.

Alex Isidro, managing director at the firm, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome George to our team – with his impressive track record and strong credentials, he’s an excellent fit. As we move into Q4 with record achievements behind us, we’re ready to deliver even greater results, and I’m confident George will play a key role in making this happen.”
