The lettings agency loc8me, which specialises in student accommodation, is to expand its activities into Exeter, a high-value student area.

The service will be managed from the agency’s existing operation in Bristol, but a statement from the firm says “the move is expected to create a number of new roles in lettings, property management, and compliance.”

This takes the agency to 2,500 managed properties for over 8,000 students in various locations across the UK.

Founder Raffaele Russo says: “Exeter has a thriving student community and a real appetite for choice and quality. This is a city where students expect more from their homes, and expanding into Exeter allows us to deliver exactly that.

“As demand for high-quality student homes continues to rise, we’re committed to raising standards and providing properties that students genuinely love to live in.”

Loc8me says despite operating remotely from Bristol – some 80 miles away – the services available within Exeter will include tenant support, maintenance, and a 24/7 service. And it adds: “Standards will be upheld through its recently launched Seal of Approval programme, designed to ensure consistency, safety, and quality across all properties.”

Russo continues: “This latest expansion shows how much potential there still is to improve student housing in the UK. We’ve built our growth on trust, consistency, and innovation, and we’re not slowing down. Exeter is the next step in that journey, and we’re excited to get started.”

The company claims over 40,000 students “interact with the brand” each year.
