Deposit alternative provider Reposit has partnered with seven letting agency branches within the Your Move franchise network.

Your Move (formerly Edward Rose, six branches) and Letco Homes (one branch) will now offer all tenants Reposit’s FCA-regulated product which gives landlords enhanced protection, with up to eight weeks cover against rent arrears and dilapidations.

It allows tenants to pay a one-week, non-refundable fee instead of a traditional five-week cash deposit.

The partnership covers 2,500 properties across Southsea, Plymouth, Torquay, Newton Abbott, Camborne, Southampton.

Richard Timson, group lettings director at Your Move, said: “With the Renters Rights’ Act bringing change to the sector, it’s more important than ever that landlords feel properly protected.

“Traditional deposits are capped at five weeks rent, which often falls short when arrears or significant damage arise. Eight weeks of protection gives our landlords more confidence and financial reassurance, while offering tenants an affordable and flexible option.

“This combination aligns perfectly with our agency. The structure and support behind Reposit made the decision an easy one.”

Zoë Murphy, partnership sales associate at Reposit, added: “We’re excited to support the Your Move team as they integrate our product across Edward Rose and Letco.

“Our eight weeks of protection continues to set the benchmark for landlord reassurance, and we’re excited to help these branches deliver enhanced value to both landlords and tenants.”
