Renters Right Bill webinar on day of key Lords debate

Rightmove is running a live webinar with senior government officials to answer questions from agents about the Renters’ Rights Act.

It takes place on Thursday December 4 between 10am and 11am.

The officers facing agents’ questions will be Stephanie Kvam, Deputy Director for PRS Housing Redress and Regulatory Systems; and Ross McInnes, Deputy Director for PRS Strategy, Security and Standards. Both work at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

Kyam leads reforms to improve tenants’ experiences in the private rented sector and has over 20 years’ housing policy expertise; McInness oversees delivery of the new tenancy system and Decent Homes Standard.

Agents can sign up now via the Rightmove Hub to secure a place.

Rightmove says the event should reveal more about the rollout timeline and how to prepare; the impact of periodic tenancies on portfolios; grounds for repossession and the new Landlord Ombudsman Scheme; and how to stay compliant and avoid Rent Repayment Orders.

Christian Balshen, Director of Agency Partnerships at Rightmove, adds: “The Renters’ Rights Act transforms how landlords and agents operate. This is a must-attend event for anyone navigating these changes. With government directors answering questions live, it’s your chance to get clarity straight from the source.”
