Tariff turmoil hasn’t disrupted corporate lettings (yet)

An agent who trained in real estate in California and worked in Florida claims to be bringing US-style service to this country.

Jesse Behan’s Gilded Goose agency will offer what he calls “a personalised ‘partnership’ between the agent and the homeowner for a ‘better experience that people deserve’.”

Gilded Goose will begin in Wirral, across the Liverpool City Region as far as Cheshire and Chester, with eventual hopes of expanding more widely. The primary focus will be on detached and bespoke properties.

Behan says: “I noticed that simple things that could easily be communicated to me weren’t. I was the one chasing for updates – and making people do their jobs, which is shocking

“Buying a new home is the most important and expensive purchase people make in their lives, and they deserve a better experience.

“I looked at multiple properties, and it was the same with different high street estate agencies. There is a big gap there.”

Behan says his new agency will:

* Offer staging support, working with local companies to enhance and encourage a house sale;

* Give advice on ways a house might be made more sellable;

* Be available for viewings at weekends ‘when most people can and want to see properties’;

* Work around clients’ schedules, meeting them at home, in a coffee shop or even at their office – ‘whatever is most convenient or comfortable for them’.

He adds that he is currently working with local solicitors and local mortgage advisors to develop “a comprehensive and integrated exceptional service that will set me apart.”

“On completion, it’s not hard to drop the keys off. It’s not hard to meet the owners at their new door and say welcome instead of, when moving day is stressful enough, expecting them to go to collect their own keys.  It’s saying, why don’t I try to alleviate some of the stress for you?

“I will 100% go above and beyond to make sure everybody is communicated with appropriately, and that their home is marketed appropriately; and at the end of the day, I will do everything in my power to get people the most money for their property. I’m someone who cares about, and is passionate about, someone buying or selling their home.

“And I’m bringing the US model to the UK, to ensure every client leaves happy.”
