The operators of a branch of franchise brand Whitegates have completed their 12th acquisition.

Franchise owners Chan and Kashmir Khangura have acquired Claire Ramsbottom’s lettings portfolio in Huddersfield.

The Whitegates Huddersfield, Brighouse, Mirfield and Pontefract operation has existed since 2012. This latest transaction adds to its managed lettings portfolio.

The Claire Ramsbottom lettings portfolio will be integrated into the Whitegates Huddersfield operation, while the independent’s sales operation – known as Claire Ramsbottom eXp – will continue as before.

Chan Khangura says: “This was an excellent opportunity to acquire a well-managed, high-quality lettings portfolio that complements our existing operation.

“Claire has built strong relationships with her landlords over the years, and we are committed to maintaining the same level of service and care they are used to.”

Ramsbottom adds: “My new brand, Claire Ramsbottom eXp, is built around delivering a personal, high-level service and that takes real time and attention.

“Strategically it made sense to move my landlord clients to someone with the experience and infrastructure to support them as legislation and compliance continue to evolve.”

Rob Smith, group managing director of TPFG – parent organisation of Whitegates – adds: “Chan and Kashmir continue to demonstrate the benefits of a strategic, well-planned approach to growth.

“Completing their twelfth acquisition is a significant achievement and reflects both their commitment to the Whitegates brand and their strong standing within the local property market.”
