PropTech pledge: Agents can onboard a landlord in under 10 minutes

A new ‘digital-first’ agency has been launched which says it aims to shake up the property market.

James Gorman Property has been set up in Londonderry, and describes itself as blending social media innovation with hands-on service to challenge traditional agents.

Gorman is originally from Essex and has over 20 years experience in the property sector across East London and surrounding areas.

He’s lived in Derry/Londonderry for the past nine years and says his expertise ranges from traditional high street agencies to online hybrid operations.

In recent years he has specialised in the new build sector.

He says his agency will be “leveraging cutting-edge digital tools” and “tapping into an extensive network of investors nationwide.”

The agency’s website describes its process with lettings and sales clients.

In the rental sector the landlord is charged an upfront fee on initial instruction.

This funds a walk through video, photographs room by room,  measurements of the property and any other relevant information, plus a To Let board.

The firm then creates a listing marketed on live property portals including Northern Ireland’s most famous service, Property Pal, as well as the agency’s website and its social media channels with Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

The agency will meet and seek references and due diligence on prospective tenants on a landlord’s behalf, with a deposit collected and passed on appropriately.

“Management of the property, including repairs and maintenance and direct liaising with the tenants will be the responsibility of the landlord” says the agency.
