Zoopla has rolled out a new renting guide aimed at renters and landlords.

And the portal claims this can help win clients from the 80% of private landlords that self manage and don’t use an agent to manage their rental investments.

The guide includes articles explaining the complexity of the Renters Rights Act covering key rule changes, compliance obligations, and practical guidance on keeping tenants informed.

The portal explains that the content is designed not just to educate a landlord audience, but to provide letting agents with ready-made resources to share across their own social and marketing channels.

A spokesperson says: “The Renters Rights Act is the biggest shift in rental legislation in a generation, and it creates a genuine opportunity for agents who offer management services to grow their business.

“With the majority of private landlords still self-managing, the new regulations present a great opportunity to make the case for using an agent for professional property management.”
