Albany Lettings has acquired Hadden Rankin Property Management, bringing together two established Edinburgh property firms.
Hadden Rankin has more than 20 years of experience supporting landlords, tenants and property investors across Edinburgh.
Founded by solicitors Ross Hadden and Dorothy Rankin, the business is described in a statement from the two companies as “a natural fit for Albany Lettings.
Albany operates with an Edinburgh-based team covering lettings, property management, maintenance coordination, accounts and compliance.
The statement continues: “The acquisition will allow Hadden Rankin’s clients and properties to benefit from broader support while retaining the local knowledge and personal approach they value.
“The purpose is not to make clients feel as though they have become a number in a larger portfolio.
“The purpose is to give the people managing their properties greater capacity, specialist knowledge and stronger systems behind the scenes.”
Albany Lettings’ Michael Mairs says:
“Our priority is to make the transition clear, personal and well managed.
“The purpose of bringing the businesses together is not simply to become bigger. It is to give landlords and tenants the reassurance of personal local service, supported by a wider Edinburgh team and stronger operational resources.”
And Ross Hadden and Dot Rankin add:
“When considering the next chapter for Hadden Rankin, the quality and continuity of service provided to our landlords and tenants was central to our decision.
“Albany understands the Edinburgh property market and shares our belief in personal, professional property management.
“We believe bringing the businesses together represents a positive step for our clients and provides a strong foundation for the future.”
