Agent Rainmaker has revealed the theme for its 2026 flagship event, and it’s a deliberate departure from business as usual.
AR Live 2026, taking place this November in London, will be built around ‘Unbroken’, a theme founder Sally Lawson says isn’t about aspiration, but reality.
The choice comes after the Renters Rights Act and the abolition of Section 21 have reshaped the sector, with many agencies watching managed stock fall sharply and long-standing ways of winning and retaining landlords stop working overnight.
“The industry can’t rebuild using the same model that got us here” says Lawson.
“I’ve spent the last year talking to agents who are exhausted, second-guessing decisions they’d normally make in their sleep, and wondering if the business they built even makes sense anymore under the new rules. That’s not a confidence problem. That’s a model problem.
“Unbroken isn’t about pretending nothing happened, and it’s not another year of ‘stay positive.’
“It’s about agents who’ve taken a real hit regrouping, rebuilding, and coming out the other side reborn – running businesses that are actually built for what the market looks like now, not what it looked like two years ago.”
Lawson says the theme is a direct response to conversations she’s been having across the sector all year.
“With the recent changes impacting the sector massively, many agents are focused on regaining lost ground. Agents who want to build a robust agency with integrated multi-faceted teams which incorporate IT and tech, and can create multiple offers or products that serve the whole market.
“That’s what Unbroken is all about – finding ways to overcome tough situations, make the most of challenges, and rebuild stronger.”
