have had two lanlords only this week has asked us to sell their rental property!! the shortage is only going to get worse with only the Governments policy on landlords worsening!!

The relief for businesses in The borough of Kensington & Chelsea DO NOT include Estate agents shops??? Therefore because we don’t sell dresses or books, but houses instead, we are penalised once again on the High Street!!!!!

Well there is a quite obvious solution to the shortfall! reduce the level of Stamp Duty and you will see an increase by more people moving! This was proven in the pandemic! its not rocket science its a fact!!

What a load of old Tosh!! The same people banned tenants paying any kind of fees, introduce a minefield of legal requirements for agents to carry out, now there telling us NOT to increase rents? we dont see them telling british Airways to STOP increasing Air fares at peak months? Then dont critisise agents!!

This is a classic case of messing with an Industry without any thought? The PRS wasnt perfect, but required some fine tuning, NOT a complete devastation of an very important industry!!

We operate in The Central London area and the reduction of Rental properties is frightening!! The government cant house the applicants we deal with, International professionals from all over the world that require 1st class accomodation, they can barely house people in Local authority housing, so why interfer in the private sector when NOTHING was wrong?? Phew, what a way to start a Thursday!

shelter should be ashamed of themselves! They dont live in a real world! Landlords are losing money hand over fist due to goverment intervention on taxing them, if its not viable then sell. if they are homeless then its the governments fault, and they cant house them??

They fail to quantify why rents have increased? Answer: Mass exodus of private landlords due to never ending Tax assistance? Government interfearance has gone too far in the private rented sector, its NOT worth being a landlord anymore, there are better ways of investing now without the dangers!!

Lets hope Mr Sunak & the conservative party realise there is a serious problem with Landlords being victimised with investing into property and taking the risks involved in property investing in this country? It will only get worse, the government cant help these students with accommodation, so make investing worth while once again!!

Should have mentioned the distinct fact that there is an acute shortage of property in the private rented sector BECAUSE of the government changing tax rules for landlords and the ridiculous 'White Paper' changes to the rented sector! This is what happens when you meddle with a generaly normal market?

Mr Khan, how much more can the Private Rental landlords take? Already landlords are selling their properties in droves, they've been hit with Covid arrears and so on. potential tenants are struggling to find private accommodation due to the scarcity in London. Rent controls will devistate this industry and will make it a much bigger problem.

Landlords didn't have too much of a problem in London for allowing pets, but no one can deny that they are a "high Risk" for dilapidation's? So why did they reduce the amount of deposit to 5 weeks?

We have just had a landlord on the phone stating that her bank are now foreclosing on her because of arrears of her mortgage, this is due to her tenant being in arrears of rent!! So tell me Mark, where is the justice???

Totally disagree, the old adage of 'Possession is nine tenths of the law'. Once they are in, it's so hard to get them out!! Try and go to court and prove it??

Another example of the stupidity of this government 'penalizing' landlords by reducing the tax benefits of providing a home to the private rented sector. this is also the result of the mass exodus of the private landlord, resulting in an acute shortage in the PRS!! when will those boffins ever learn??

some landlords have already informed us that they will NOT pay for both the check-in and the check out inventory fees!! There will be many problems with this, as we see it it is NOT an agents fee, it is a separate companies fee. There will be huge problems with the inventory system and TDS etc.

When will landlords learn?? Why use an estate agency that doesn't belong to a reputable redress organisation, governing body? Would you use a travel agent that wasn't ATOL registered? NO you wouldn't. Although i am not privy to a lot of details of this case, but i bet your bottom dollar that this agent fees were a lot lower than most? Not affiliated to any governing body? Educate landlords is the only way!
