It would be a lot easier to make landlords use professional agents and not to conduct in to tenancies. This would be less of a headache to the trade

That was one way we were going to go after the fee ban which is not going to go well with tenants But unfortunately to cut costs for landlords we have to advice them not to put these in. Why have estate agents being hit for fees, how about hitting Solicitors, finance companies with these bans too as surly they fees are higher and do have affects on new first time buyers. The fee ban mm how about an acceptance fee like they do on finance or even a final exit fee payment, this government is just for the out there to make the rich richer and the poor poorer its disgusting

If they are considering fee ban for agents they should also consider a fee ban on Solicitors so that it lighten the load on first time buyers. Who are these preasure groups that keep on putting preasure on the goverment?? Are they on Crack? There is no need for an enforcement agency for the fee ban as there will be no agencies left to monitor. It should be Capped but not banned as every agency's realy work hard to achieve some sort of reward for the amount of crap they have to deal with

Why can the goverment see the fees charged by agents which so called is making it too expensive to rent, however why can they not see it's more expensive to buy a house with the fees the Solicitors charge surely it's a better idea for the government to try to get people on the property market rather than rent. Loads of people can and should be able to buy a house if the deposit went back to 0% and the Solicitors fees were capped off as these could vary from £800 to 3000, it just dont make sence. P.s. these regulations are being made in consideration of London and not the rest of the UK for e.g fees are extortionate in London and up North they start from £50 rents are extortionate in London but up north they start from £55per week so the point I'm making is why not make a rule that helps the UK and not only London

Its not the landlords problem to find a tenant a house, its the local councils. Why should the landlord continue to provide for the tenant even if they default how about the landlords interests its all about the tenants. The landlord makes considerable investment on properties as a working business whilst the councils continue giving properties to people who do not need council properties and who prolong their stay just so they can try to buy them later on in life all this is stupid yes protect the tenant and their rights but you can not expect the landlord to do the governments job Especialy when the goverment dont help the landlord to buy the property so they use their hard earned cash which they have saved for many years so they can retire later on.

The eviction costs should be put on to the tenant once evicted, this should deter any bad tenants to go bad as they would have to pay for it tenant. Ofcourse it would be on case bases

That is great if the goverment protects the income of the landlord too incase the tenant doesnt pay the rent. Tighter controls are needed on that. As well as easier, quicker evictions processing then i supose it would be good

I agree with Paul if there is a cap it's best all round. If the letting industry has a fee ban then so should soliceters as they charge admin too and others too
