another ring around clients then this afternoon. Very disappointing, particularly when a lot of clients have already waited 7 or 8 months and their tenants are not being asked to leave through covid!

pushing any repossession work back is simply delaying the inevitable. The claims i have advised on and are currently waiting are not all COVID 19 related arrears, many span back before the crisis and many landlord, suffering through no fault of their own, simply need to sell the property - how is that fair on them making them wait further.

oh dear! Where are the working parties for landlords? Who has their interests at heart....

I wrote to Robert Jenrick and the Justice Secretary and my local MP 3 weeks ago on this point as a local court had put a claim of one of my clients back until end of October. I was under the impression from the Court, this had come from "on high" - this now appears so..... strangely I have not had a response from any of these three men - who will be bombarded from me now until they explain their thinking, or lack thereof! Landlords who have tenants who were in arrears before, non communicative tenants and anti social tenants should be allowed to proceed with the legal action they are entitled to. When we will the government realise that not all landlords are rouge landlords and not all tenants are law abiding rent paying individuals.

An unbelievable whammy from the government. No thought what so ever .. a blanket ban hasn’t worked so far and it about to make an entire private rented sector walk away... consideration should have been given to those claims which have nothing to do with coronavirus

Can you explain where this additional legislation is?.. the Coronavirus Bill passed yesterday does not retrospectively halt proceedings and the legislation made it clear it was new notices from the day after the Bill passed. Your announcement is also in contradiction of the Judicary announcement stating that where possible Civil and Family matters should proceed where possible using technology to allow access to justice to continue... a complete halt on possession work is going to lead to a massive backlog

Totally agree there will be people who take advantage of this situation. i hope the government are sensible to balance this situation. i feel for the landlords i really do.

What about the landlord who cannot afford the mortgage on this property and one that he has on a buy to let? or the accidental landlord who is now relying on the income from his rental property - all about the tenants yet again without thinking about the landlords in this country or the people assisting the landlords
