Blatant use of false figures to represent homelessness! I have said it before and will say it again local planning policy is to blame here. 1000's of small time/self build applications being refused every year that would be so much better for housing quality and stock than massive developments that take years to agree and cause massive change to the local area. Just 2 or 3 houses in each village per year would solve the problem.

I’ve avoided zero deposits. I could see the issues coming. It could be a great scheme but you could say the same about PPI. Just watch and wait for the reclaim brigade.

If the likes of Just Eat can charge a 50p service charge then maybe you can charge the tenant a service fee for paying by phone. Then you only take credit card rents over the phone and charge the service fee. For the moment I have just decided not to take any more rents by credit or debit card at all.
