Most of our tenants stay with us for many years , some over 10 years. The ones that leave us move on due to changes in their personal circumstances not because they cannot afford the below market rents we charge. This government think all landlords are bad and don't look after their tenants. They are wrong along with their out of touch useless housing policy which is designed to benifit their big investment corperate backers and shareholders.

The government are defending their incompetence with more lies as most politicians do. It is certain that many more than 1 in 5 landlords will be effected detrimentally. Unquestionably the figures are wrong and baring in mind that the PRS houses more tenants than social housing now, hundreds of thousands of tenants will be paying more rent or be made homeless over the next 4 years. Furthermore many decent hardworking landlords will be forced to sell their properties or be made bankrupt, all to allow the large build to let and corperate backers of the Tory government to take over gradually and make large profits to the detriment of good landlords and tenants alike. Clause 24 tenant tax is a completely descriminatery, corrupt and vindictive attack on tenants and landlords by an incompetent, negligent right wing Tory shambles of a government

Unquestionably landlords are descriminated against by CAB regularly and now we are being descriminated against by HMRC by not being able to offset the full mortgage interest loans unlike every other businesses in the UK. This clause 24 or tenant tax will cause much more homelessness and poverty for tenants who will be forced to live in more poor energy efficient accommodation than they say they do currently as beleaguered landlords sell up making good tenants homeless. Getting landlords to pay more in stamp duty means there is less money left to renovate older properties to bring them up to standard. This article is a load of rubbish.
