This is likely to be another PPI and Diesel class action at some point, as air/ground source heat pumps simply won't work in a vast number of properties, meaning that people will then have to supplement the heating of their homes with additional heaters rendering the whole exercise as completely pointless and expensive.

Propertymark and other organisations need to be lobbying the Government more. We seem to be sleep walking in to giving up section 21 notices with no clear vision of what will replace it and many of my clients are extremely concerned about that. The vision of RoPA is all very well but there has to be a viable letting market, so there are definitely more important factors that need to be addressed right now.

For most properties, air source heat pumps want be able to maintain warm enough temperatures, especially when its really cold outside, meaning people will buy electric heaters to top up the heat - it really isn't the dream answer Government would have you believe.

Having been at the ARLA conference a couple of weeks ago the Baroness who spoke about banning fees made it very clear it was going to happen regardless of the consultation - so what is the point in even asking for opinions, they clearly aren't going to listen. Good to see that democracy is alive and well in this Country!
