Century 21 goes on expansion drive in UK lettings market

Century 21 UK is set to unveil a new lettings proposition today, as it steps up recruitment of new franchisees – and, for the first time, looks to create partnerships with existing agents.

It says that the business model is “significant and unique” and will “transform the face of private residential lettings”.

The firm says: “Those taking up a Century 21 UK franchise will have preferential access to this major lettings opportunity, which will create over 4,000 luxury new-build houses for private rental.”

Century 21 UK says it is also actively looking to appoint a number of approved agents in the North-West to manage the letting of this sizeable portfolio of properties.

Targeting recruitment in the region, the firm – which recently underwent a change of master franchisor ownership in the UK – is holding two franchise recruitment seminars in Manchester tomorrow.
 
Both seminars are at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel, with the first session beginning at 3pm and the second at 6.30pm.
 
During both seminars, which last an hour, attendees will learn from senior staff about how they can run their own Century 21 UK franchise. There will be a Q&A session at the end of each session.
 
Rob Clifford, chief executive of Century 21 UK and also group commercial director of Shepherd Direct Group, which now owns the business, said: “These two seminar sessions are being held in Manchester for very good reasons.

Shepherd Direct acquired the licence to operate the Century 21 estate agency and lettings brand throughout the UK, Channel Islands, Gibraltar and Isle of Man in April.

The firm says it plans to rapidly accelerate the appointment of franchisees throughout the UK with a  bold growth plan. The firm also owns Direct Valuations, If I Were You Mortgage Brokers, moneyQuest Mortgage Brokers and Direct Lettings. It jointly owns Sesame Bankhall Valuation Services with Sesame Bankhall Group.
