Estate Agency Foundation Chairman Bill McClintock has stepped down from his position after a three year stint at the helm of the charity.

He will be replaced by Peter Knight, Managing Director of Estate Agency Events, organisers of The Estate Agency & Lettings Agency of the Year Awards. Knight is also Co-Founder of the Estate Agency Foundation and current Director.

McClintock  has been involved in the housing market for over 50 years and will retain his Non-Executive position as Chairman of the Board of The Property Ombudsman, Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. McClintock will stay on as a Director of EAF in 2014.

He said: “The charity now needs taking to the next level, which I know it can be, and it is time for someone new to take the reins and lead the charity through its next phase of development. The charity will be undergoing a number of changes in 2014, which are just on the horizon, and I feel that Peter is the best person to do this.”

Knight said: “There is going to be a lot going on this year with the charity and I am delighted to take up the Chairmanship at such an exciting time of change. Bill has brought his years of experience to the Foundation over the past three years and I am looking forward to continuing to work closely with him in 2014.”

Bill was always going to be a tough act to follow, however Peter is definitely the man for the job. Good luck to EAF.

Well done and thanks to Bill for all the work he's put in over the years for this.

Excellent news to see it being picked up by Mr Knight, no doubt at all he'll do great things with it.
