FindaProperty has partnered with Google on the launch of its latest product, the controversial Street View.

Street View can be accessed on FindaProperty simply by clicking a tab.

Street View is a new feature for Google Maps that enables users to view and navigate 360-degree street-level imagery of UK cities and towns. However, Google has been inundated with complaints that people’s faces and car number plates are shown, while there are concerns that by showing army and police buildings, national security could be compromised.

For property finders, the service allows local neighbourhoods to be checked out in detail without physically having to visit them.

Chris Boorman, head of product development for FindaProperty, said: “We are delighted to be partnered with Google for this launch. Street View takes FindaProperty to new heights.

“It’s an amazing tool that will allow our users to see a property and its surroundings and help them get a real feel for the area.

“We believe that Street View is set to become part of everyday life in a very short space of time, and FindaProperty is at the forefront of this development, providing further support to our member agents and giving them access to new and emerging technology.”

Street View is available on FindaProperty properties located in major UK towns and cities including London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, York, Newcastle, Southampton, Bristol, Swansea and Glasgow. Other UK areas are expected to go live at a later date.
