A member of staff at London agent Douglas & Gordon has beaten off 2,600 others to achieve top mark in ARLA’s Technical Award in Residential Letting and Property Management.

Katie Henry completed the Level 3 course last year and has now won an award for her achievement.

Katie, who joined Douglas & Gordon in 2007, looks after the largest portfolio of tenancies in the firm’s tenancy management department, managing some 600 properties in Hammersmith, Kensington and Battersea Park.

Virginia Skilbeck, lettings director at Douglas & Gordon, said: “We are very proud of Katie’s achievement and it is a great testimony to the calibre of people who work for D&G.

“These types of qualifications are vital, especially in an industry which is often heavily criticised for being under-regulated, so we make sure that everyone undertakes the relevant training and therefore delivers the best possible service to our clients.”

Katie said: “I felt a real sense of achievement passing the Technical Award, but I never imagined that out of all of the people who sat the exam, I would gain the highest mark.

“After working in the industry for almost six years, I wanted to achieve the Technical Award to take the next step in my career.

“It was an absolute honour to be presented with a trophy in recognition of my achievement at the NFoPP Awards.”
