The number of available rental properties listed on Rightmove has fallen by nearly a quarter in two years.

A spokesman said they were 5.3% down in March, compared with March 2010, and 23.7% down on March 2009.

You would have thought Rightmove would have taken the removal of the outdated properties into consideration when they came up with these stats unless its been done by an external source who DIDNT take them into account!

I also believe many smaller agents have been leaving Rightmove due to their increase in fees, which seems to go up year on year above inflation to pacify their shareholders.

It would be interesting to know how many agents are listing on there as compared with 12/24 months ago !

Is this due to Rightmove taking let properties out of the system as they have been there too long? Something they threatened to do a while ago which I for one applaud. I get so many applicants moaning that agents have property as available only to find on enquiry that they are let.

This really makes agents look good!!!!!!!!!!!!
