The Tenancy Deposit Scheme has relaunched its website to make it available in 14 languages.

The relaunch comes after consultation with the TDS Members Forum and trials carried out with key lettings firms.

The website is the prime tool for registering and checking tenancies and for general information about the way the Scheme works.

The site has been redesigned with simpler navigation and improved documentation.

Tenants now have the ability to look up their own tenancy deposit registration by entering their surname, postcode, the deposit amount and the tenancy start date as recorded on the tenancy agreement.

Steve Harriott, TDS chief executive, said: “This is part of our vision of delivering a customer-focused and user-friendly scheme.”
