It wasn’t the Tour de France but a Tour de Yorkshire that made colleagues from Yorkshire letting agency Linley & Simpson get on their bikes to raise money for the Estate Agency Foundation.

Paul Bridgeman and Daniel Bond who work at its Ilkley branch, Ross Harding who manages the Wakefield office, and Lynne Taylor who is based in Leeds, toured all nine of the company’s Yorkshire bases in just 11 hours.

Their 100-mile route took in Wakefield, Leeds city centre, Roundhay, Wetherby, York, Ripon, Harrogate, Horsforth and Ilkley.

They raised £1,500 in aid of the Estate Agency Foundation, which supports a range of charities that help the homeless.

The EAF is Linley & Simpson’s adopted charity of the year and the company has pledged to match pound for pound all the money that is raised, meaning that the ‘Tour de Yorkshire’ raised £3,000 all told.

Meanwhile, the Zoopla British Property Cycle, also in aid of the Estate Agency Foundation, is getting closer. It starts on July 28. We’d love to know of agents who are participating, to back Jon Cook’s superhuman efforts, so drop us an email.
