A record number of over 700 estate and letting agents descended on the Hilton Park Lane for the 11th annual Estate Agent Awards, known as the ESTAS, on Friday.
Doubling up as host and Zoopla Property Group Brand Ambassador, TV presenter Phil Spencer ran through 54 regional awards for both sales and lettings.
Big winners on the day included Kings Group (six awards) and Belvoir (seven awards), whilst Logic Estate Agents of Liverpool and Stoneshaw Estates of Dagenham picked up the coveted Grand Prix Awards for best sales and letting agents respectively.
Commenting on being crowned Best Estate Agents in the UK, David Kennedy, branch manager of Logic Estate Agents, said: We are extremely proud to have been crowned not only the best estate agent in the region, but the best also in the whole of the UK. The awards were well organised, exciting and reward great customer service which we believe is the key to any good agent and always will be.
Combined with appearances on BBC2's successful documentary Under Offer: Estate Agents on the Job, Stoneshaw Estates' Grand Prix Award for Lettings added to an excellent 2014 so far.
"After winning a regional award for the past five years, we're over the moon with the Grand Prix Award for Lettings. We were overwhelmed with the response from our landlords, with over 160 filling out the feedback form," said Andy Thomson, one of the East London firm's directors.
"As a small independent agent it is fantastic to win an award solely voted for by clients. We have already entered for next year's awards and are looking forward to our sixth appearance at the ESTAS," he added.
Other awards included the People Awards' acknowledging outstanding individual service, as well as the Supplier of the Year award, presented by publisher of Estate and Letting Agent Today, Nat Daniels, which was awarded to Expert Agent for the second year running.
Applications for the 2015 awards, which will see the introduction of a National Online Agent Category, are already being accepted, with agents and suppliers having until 31 December 2014 to enter.
