Expansion for “largest end-to-end rental marketplace”

A service which describes itself as Europe’s “largest end-to-end rental accommodation marketplace” has announced a new acquisition.

Housing Anywhere has acquired a majority share in French lettings platform Studapart - its fifth acquisition on the continent in two years.

“Studapart is the number one rental marketplace in France, a market known to be fragmented and culturally bound with language barriers and complex regulations” says Djordy Seelmann, chief executive of HousingAnywhere.

“Studapart is technologically far ahead of its French competitors and has excellent traction in the student room segment with significant scope for growth, both in France and internationally. We are excited to acquire a majority stake in Studapart and welcome its team as our long-term partners.

“Our shared purpose, culture, matching vision and ambition will expand our positive footprint in Europe’s rental accommodation market.“

HousingAnywhere projects 2022 to be a record-breaking year. The combined European business expects to match 100,000 tenants with vacant rental properties, recording €500m in rent transactions and €25m in revenues.

The group expects to welcome 30m unique visitors to its websites, who can choose amongst 200,000 properties available for rent.

In addition, HousingAnywhere welcomes Studapart’s founders and its team of 45 experts, with a plan to bring the total combined team size to 300 by the end of 2022.

Through the HousingAnywhere platform, tenants typically rent accommodation for three to 12 months.
