A quick reminder that the Government is conducting an inquiry into the private rented sector – and in view of the various lobbying attempts now under way, it seems important that letting agents in particular should use their voices.

In particular, the inquiry will be looking at the possibility of compulsory regulation for both agents and landlords, and into imposing rent controls.

It will also be looking at letting agents’ fees and the quality of accommodation in the sector.

Submissions of up to 3,000 words are invited by the deadline date of January 17.

Although this seems some way off, with the Christmas and New Year break, it will be here soon enough.

Use the link below to find out how to get your submissions in.
