Andrews, the south-based chain, has become the latest agent to sign up to the SAFEagent scheme.

Andrews was founded by one of the industry legends – the philanthropist and businessman Raymond Andrews, who also founded the NAEA. To this day, Andrews still hands over a portion of its profits to its charity shareholders.

The recruitment of Andrews to the scheme comes as a board meeting of NFoPP today is due to discuss whether to back the SAFE scheme or not.

On Thursday this week, the NALS conference will also highlight SAFEagent, which appears on its agenda. It will be the first time that the concept will be discussed and debated in a public conference.

There are still a few spaces left at the conference, which has a wide-ranging agenda. Anyone interested can register either online at www.nalsconference.co.uk or email jane.hewitt@nalsconference.co.uk
