The cost of Client Money Protection insurance for ARLA members is going down this year.
It will be £359 per agency business.
In a letter to agents, chief executive Peter Bolton King said that last year, a big increase had to be passed on to members.
However, the claims situation had been much better since, partly due to the enhanced accountant’s report now required of members and partly due to the increased number of compliance visits ARLA had carried out.
He added: “Obviously, I hope that we will be able to continue this trend in future years.”
He said the insurers had accepted that the situation has improved.
