Countrywide acquires nine more lettings businesses

Tuesday 3rd July 2012

Countrywide Residential Lettings has announced more ‘significant’ acquisitions in the second quarter of this year.

It has now acquired nine lettings businesses and opened 60 new lettings branches so far this year.

The group has made it plain it wants to acquire more.

The latest acquisitions include city centre business LS1 and M1 in Leeds and Manchester, which together have a portfolio of over 1,000 properties, plus Alan Harvey Property Services in east London, which have two branches in the Olympics area.

Further acquisitions include the portfolios of Bullock & Lees in Christchurch, Dorset, Keelans in Woking, Surrey, and iSite in Warrington.

These portfolios have all been combined with Countrywide’s existing local estate agency brands to strengthen the group’s local offering.

In addition, Lanes Lettings and Management was also recently acquired by the group, managing around 400 rental properties across the commuter town of Enfield.

Nick Dunning, commercial director of Countrywide, said: “Our growth of our lettings operation is a major focus for the group and we look forward to continued accelerated expansion of lettings services and footprint for the foreseeable future.”
